Junior Social Media Coordinator
This is a two-part role. Approximately half of your time will be spent as a Junior Social Media Coordinator. The other half will be as our Chief Officer of First Impressions—or Receptionist for short.
The role of Receptionist at our agency will teach a junior employee more about the industry than almost any other position. By occupying this role, you’ll be responsible for meeting and greeting every person that walks through our doorway. You’ll meet current clients, potential clients, potential employees, partners, even a few lost souls looking for the sandwich shop on the canal. You’ll learn a little bit about every department at the agency as you route visitors and phone calls. You’ll also perform clerical tasks to aid other staff members, giving you an overview of their roles. It’s the one position at our company that has contact with just about every person on our staff on a daily basis.
In addition, you’ll split your time assisting our Social Media Director as a Junior Social Media Coordinator. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to learn how to create a portfolio-worthy content calendar. You’ll learn how to schedule content in tools like HootSuite. You’ll learn how to place paid campaigns using tools like Facebook Ad Manager. And most importantly, you’ll learn how to collect, analyze and interpret the mountain of data that social media marketing provides to us. You’ll also have the unique opportunity to see how our creative department of writers and designers create large-scale social media campaigns.
This is an entry-level position. The perfect candidate will ascend the ranks to positions with more responsibility. How far a candidate rises, or how quickly they do it, will be solely up to them.
